System Plan of Tourism Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Republic of Kazakhstan

Overview
Kazakhstan Government recognized tourism industry as one of the future levers for equal development of the whole country. The system plan had a mission to put in place geographical, legal and managerial issues in one comprehensive system aimed at providing strong foothold for tourism development.
Description of Project
Horwath HTL network (Zagreb, Paris, Russia), was mandated by the Kazakhstan Industry Development Institute (KIDI) to elaborate the first country level tourism policy and objective-setting document. Scope of work included building a Strategic vision of tourism by 2020, as well as planning and implementation of the Kazakh tourism development program including, among other components, evaluation of tourism investment projects and definition of State level tourism development measures.
