Overview
Horwath HTL was appointed from Japan International Agency (JICA) Balkan Office to develop a regional level tourism promotion strategy and action plan for Japanese market
Description of Project
Horwath HTL conducted several project phases, most important of which included analysis of the level of implementation of previously defined system and development guidelines, along with definition of new set of activities to be implemented in the upcoming period. With main aim of successful implementation of defined project activities, the project included management support for key projects on a bimonthly basis over the next two years. Although initially focused on the area of three tourist boards – Poreč, Funtana and Tar-Vabriga, through the project process, the initiative was joined by Kaštelir – Labinci, Vižinada and Višnjan, while from the very beginning of the process the tourist cluster consisted of hotel companies Valamar Riviera d.d. and Plava laguna d.d., along with a number of other destination stakeholder representatives. Through informal association, the tourist boards have decided to start a new period of tourist development of the Riviera, for which the revised DMMS will be a fundamental support.
